The Atomic Habits book teaches you how to set clear goals that are achievable and helps you understand that it isn’t actually about the end goal at all, but rather about the small improvements you are making each day. While the whole book was inspirational, these Atomic Habits quotes went above and beyond to motivate me to build good habits. The problem is that the brain is pretty darn smart and has a lot of ways to trick us.One of the self-help books, or rather, I should say, self-improvement books that I loved reading most this year was, Atomic Habits by James Clear. Our brains need to be able to process new situations, like when we are in a trance state. Our brains evolved to be able to react to situations that only happen once in a while, like a car accident. The second reason why habits are unconscious is because they are the result of the brain’s evolutionary process.

Our brains are programmed to do our unconscious habits and when we are in a trance state, our brains make it very hard for us to think consciously. For instance, our eyes are programmed to see, ears are programmed to hear, and our mouths are programmed to speak. Our bodies are programmed to do unconscious things. The first is that they are unconscious habits, which is why our bodies are programmed to do them. There are two main reasons why people have habits. I am programmed, which is why I want to continue to learn how to talk like a robot. I am not programmed to respond to what I am talking about, which is why I am not a robot. We aren’t so much “tied” to our routines as we are “wired” for them. Our brains are more “wired” for habit than ever before. The reason for this is that our brains have become more sophisticated.
